Cleveland Marathon Information
Going into its 30th year, the Cleveland Marathon features a relatively flat course, great volunteer support and a scenic view of downtown Cleveland and its major landmarks. The course has been designed for our athletes to enjoy views of Browns Stadium, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lake Erie and many other Cleveland highlights.
The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon has no limit on the size of the field and requires no qualifying time to enter.
Official times of the 26.2-mile competitive foot race are maintained for 8 hours.
All Marathon runners/walkers will recieve a goodie bag, T-shirt, and results book that will be mailed out after the race. Marathon finishers will receive a unique designed finishers medallion with an electric guitar that spins. A collectors item for sure. Marathon finishers will also receive a finishers certificate that will be mailed out after the race.
Marathon Walkers
In order to complete in the walking division, you will be expected to walk the entire distance; completion of the course is on the honor system.
The top 5 male and female finishers will receive an award.
If you win an award and did not walk the entire route, you will be expected to inform the race officials in order to move you into marathon running division.
Rite Aid Cleveland Half Marathon
Just like the marathon, the half marathon features a relatively flat course, great volunteer support and a scenic view of downtown Cleveland and its major landmarks. The course has been designed for our athletes to enjoy views of Browns Stadium, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lake Erie and many other Cleveland highlights. The 13.1 mile course mirrors the first half of the marathon course. When running eastbound on Euclid Avenue the half marathoners will go nortbound on E. 17th St until St. Clair Avenue, where the runners will go westbound and finish at the same location as the marathoners at E. 12th St, near the Galleria Mall.
